Invert had lead them through winding hallways Lucas didn't even know existed in this castle. He and Ace had spent lots of time exploring when they were younger, but he had never seen these halls before. Invert knew the way around them though, and he turned each corner confidentially. Ace and Lucas followed closely behind, with Chaos and Gracie trailing the rear. They made it to a back gate, and turned the corner. Invert froze, and growled. Lucas peeked over Invert's shoulder, and quickly ducked back down again. It was his father! How did he find them. Lucas glanced beside Fusion and saw the witch that had tested on them. Of course she was there. Fusion grinned at Invert. "Well well well, look what the wolf dragged in." Invert growled again, and his ears tilted forward. "You are more of a monster than the innocent people you are fighting against." Lucas turned to look at the two monsters behind him. Chaos made eye contact, and glanced back at Invert. Fusion looked over at the enchantress. "You know what to do." She nodded, and Fusion walked over to a nearby column, and leaned against it. Invert put his arm behind him, to shield the people there. Sophie smiled, and yellow sparkles started to pop up around her. Suddenly, the group had been separated, each person had been transported around the room. Ace and Gracie were by the row of columns, Lucas and Chaos were on the opposite side. The were transported again, and the switching back and forth was starting to make Lucas' head hurt. The switching stopped, and they were all spread out in the center of the room. Lucas' head throbbed, and it looked like everyone else's was too. The witch's sparkles changed color, to a deep red. Danger. She pulled a staff out of her cloak, and some kind of blood red orb manifested inside of the crystal. She moved it around, and aimed it directly at Chaos. Lucas was standing right next to him, and could see the panic cross his face. It all seemed to go into slow motion. The orb shot out from the top of the staff, the amount of force behind it making the holders arm shoot backwards. It flew forward, straight at Chaos. Lucas reached out his arm, and shoved Chaos out of the way. He turned, and saw it was going directly towards him. Lucas clenched his eyes shut, and waited for the inevitable. But someone jumped in front of him, and their body fell to the ground with a thump.
