The tribute chapter 15.

Eñe was walking. She had seen her daughter crying in her room this morning, and it troubled her. Anonymous and Chaos had always been close, but she had always been oblivious to just how much of a bond they shared. SHe had needed to clear her head, so she went outside and just started walking. She wasn't paying much attention to where she was walking, since she was just letting her mind wander. As Eñe neared the edge of the kingdom, her mind wandered to what lay east. She didn't know what to feel anymore. She was so happy with her family and her life, but there was this nagging feeling, this tug at her heart. Something she would rather keep hidden deep down inside of her. She may or may not still like Fusion. She hated him, hated his face and his smirk and the things he did. She hated the way he made quick decisions and kept things neat and focused. She couldn't shake her feelings, no matter how badly he acted or how distanced they became. Eñe hated it. As she walked, she realized where her legs had been taking her. When she looked up from the pavement, she was staring at the abandoned school where it had all started. She sighed, and decided to enter the building. Cobwebs coat every surface, and half of the windows in the halls are broken. She neared her classroom, and paused to listen outside the door. There were no noises. The door creaked when she opened it, and the all too familiar sight of the tan desks and pale grey walls was projected. She stood there for a few minutes, mesmerized by the memories flooding back to her. All of a sudden, footsteps broke her trance. She whirled around, and froze. King Fusion was standing there, in the doorway, smirking. "What are you doing here." Eñe growled. "I could ask you the same thing." He replied. Fusion took slow steps towards the center of the room. "Jogs the old memory, doesn't it?" Eñe nodded slowly. She would play his games, than make a run for it. He put his hands in his pockets. She noticed he wasn't wearing his gauzy outfit, but a simpler grey coat and slacks. WHen he got closer, she felt her back legs tense on her shoulders. She pressed the sharp tips into her thighs, to help ease the tension. "Ya know, its about time i got something off my chest." Fusion said. Eñe looked up, surprised at the height difference. She was much taller than him back in elementary school. Out of the blue, he grabbed her right arm and pulled it between his arm and his torso, yanking her close to him, and allowing FUsion to wrap his other arm around her middle. She felt him pin her back legs against her shoulders, and he wasn't weak either. "I used to like you, back in elementary school." He whispered. "I don't know if i ever stopped." Eñe looked up at him. He was staring right into her eyes. Her breath hitched in her throat. She felt herself breathing, felt the heaviness of her crown in that moment. Wren had told her to wear it, said it made her look more imposing and put together. Eñe didn't feel put together. "We can unite the kingdoms, together.." Fusion whispered. Should Eñe take him up or decline his offer?
