" Hurry up, slowpokes!" Chaos's sister, Anonymous, shouted from farther up the trail. Chaos rolled his eyes. She was spunky as ever, leaving the castle to come find him. he stretched out his leg against the signpost, which marked the border between the forest and the kingdom. The sun had risen, so they all headed out that morning. There were lots of clothes in the bunker they had stayed in, so finding something to wear was better than naught. Chaos was the only one that nothing for, so Lucas had given his his shirt. Chaos liked the way it smelled. Chaos turned to look for Lucas, who was still saying goodbye to Darling, Isle, Edge, Meredith and Emerald. Anonymous had offered to bring them with us, but they refused. They said there were things that needed to be fixed in this kingdom, now that the king was out of the way. Meredith was going to free all of the maids and servants that had been imprisoned for all these years. Darling wanted to reintroduce the different cultures that had been cast out when Fusion took over. Isle wanted to bring back the joy of the place, with libraries, parks, and markets for the citizens to feel at home. Emerald was just going along with his friends, the soft spoken boy. Chaos watched Lucas and Ace wave goodbye, before turning and starting through the fields towards the forest. Lucas reached the signpost where Chaos stood at looked around. "Where did Invert go?" He asked. Chaos jerked his head up the trail. "He followed pretty closely behind my sister." Ace nodded, and started to jog up the trail. Lucas started walking at a much slower pace, and Chaos rolled his eyes. Getting off of the post, he jogged up to Lucas, and grabbed his hand. "We don't want to be last! My sister will tease me for a week!" Chaos began to run, almost dragging Lucas behind him before he matched his pace. Their hands intertwined, they made their way down the shady forest trail. Lucas was freaking out. It was a big jump to give Chaos his shirt back at the bunker, and now this?! He felt the blush take over his face, but there was really nothing he could do. The forest shade kept them cool as they ran, brushing past bushes and ferns as they hopped over tree roots. Their hands were locked together, and they soon caught up with the rest of the group.
