Ace barely felt the pain of his horn snapping off, after he had gouged it into Fusions side. His father was bloody, clothes soaked in red and torn where Ace had sliced his skin open. Fusion lay on the ground, shaking and looking up at him. Ace smiled back down. He was covered in his father's blood, and it had splashed up against the floors and columns nearby. Ace smiled again, before pointing the claws on the end of his wings directly at Fusion's heart. The king looked at him, pleading, but Ace didn't care. He jabbed quickly, like a cobra in attack, and Fusion's body went limp. Ace stood up from the crouch he was in, and turned to look at his friends. Lucas was watching him, dumbfounded, with Chaos holding him from behind. Gracie and Invert looked worried for Lucas, but otherwise not concerned for the attack they had just witnessed. Ace shook out his wings, and felt control return to his body. Invert looked over to where the witch had stood, only to find she had vanished. Ace smiled. If she came back, he would make sure she died too. He walked over to Lucas, and the group set out of the door. It was a large wooden door that swung open quietly, and they all slipped outside into the cool of night. Taking shelter in a nearby park, they huddled in the bushes surrounding the trees. Chaos looked around, happy to be outside. Suddenly, he felt something brush up against him, and he shot around. And met eyes with his own sister.
