NEW! Download your anims as gifs!

First of all, let me apologize for the lack of updates these past few months. Between submitting my first novel (Holocene) to a publisher, house renovations, my job as a game developer with Ubisoft and a bunch of other "death by a thousand papercuts" things it has been really hard to find long blocks of uninterrupted time where I can dedicate myself to working on Drawn. I'd also like to apologize for how long it's taken to add this feature in. So you can now download your animations as high-resolution animated gif files! That means you can easily post them to other sites/apps (like Instagram/Twitter/etc.)! How it works is that you click the little download icon under your animation (the same place you go to download wallpaper). There should be a new option to download the animated gif. This new feature is free and costs you no Koin, because I'm nice. :) Some important notes about this new feature:

  • It is only available for animations, not still artwork.
  • It has only been tested on a higher-end PC.
  • It is not well tested, and might be buggy.
  • It might not handle animations with hundreds, or thousands of frames.
  • It will add a watermark in the bottom left to the URL of your animation. Note that the URL will say 'drawn.app' instead of 'drawn.digifi.ca'. In the future, that's where Drawn will live. Presently drawn.app redirects to drawn.digifi.ca.
So with all those caveats feel free to download and share your amazing animations anywhere you'd like! And as always, contact me if you encounter any problems. Onwards and upwards! ClaytonR #updates #drawn #downloads
