The tribute chapter 8.

By X

Gracie was locked in this dark cold basement. But she wasn't alone. She had watched her prince be taken, and felt herself being pulled down into the darkness. She couldn't move, or speak. Some spell had been cast on her. She had been tied by her neck to the floor, and had been knocked unconscious. When she woke up, she was wearing a uniform. It was pitch dark. She heard rustling, and a lantern flicked on. There were two girls here. They said their names were Meredith and Neila. They told Gracie they had been taken as children because of their lineage, and forced to be maids or the royal family. Gracie was the only monster, though. They talked late into the night, only seeing the silhouettes of each other, flickering in the lantern light. Meredith told stories of her old hom, of ivy covered hills and green valleys. Neila told stories about the castle, about secret hiding places and the kings favourite dishes. Gracie was acting happy. She was chipping in to the stories, and laughing at jokes. But these girls were humans. And when she unleashed her monster, she did not care if they were mean or nice. Humans had to die. @BloopZaFosh @Pinaple2 @Star_the_Meergon
