Good news: The southern resident orcas have 3 pregnancies confirmed, for those of you who don't know. Southern residents are endangered, with only around 70 of them left. And for the past few years they have not been doing so well, so it's big news that they are recovering :). Details: (J35 Tahlequah and L27 Racer have been confirmed to be pregnant. L27 going through late phases so there might even be a birth before October!) Speculation around K20 Spock and that she is pregnant, it hasn't been confirmed. Also L90 Ballena might be pregnant. (There are not many for this as the information is very spread, so if you want to know more you can ask me in dms) Hell yeah im hyped Bad news: Short story: Climate change has pushed some transient orcas up north and they have been preying on narwhals there. Since the narwhals haven't had any predators in the past, the orcas are posing a new threat to their population (in the long term). This might cause a major change in the ecosystem which is not so ideal ._.
