anx·i·e·ty noun a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. - - generalized anxiety disorder- chronic anxiety, lots of worry and tension, even if there is nothing to be worried about Obsessive compulsive disorder / ocd- when you have repeating thoughts (obsessions) or repeating behaviors (compulsions). examples of some of the behaviours are washing your hands, cleaning, counting, checking, touching objects. Doing these things prevents ocd temporarily, but not doing them will increase the anxiety. panic disorder- episodes of intense fear, giving you symptoms like chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, etc. post-traumatic stress disorder / ptsd- develops when a traumatic event happens to you. examples are assault, natural or human disasters, accidents, and military combat. social anxiety disorder- Overwhelming anxiety and tension and excessive self consciousness in everyday situations. all phobias- intense fear of a specific thing. seperation anxiety- having increasing worry when someone who is close to you leaves your sight. You excessively worry about something that could happen. selective mutism- social anxiety where, in example, you might speak normally with family, but do not speak in public. medication induced anxiety- use of certain medicines or withdrawal of certain medicines or drugs that cause anxiety. - - these are the most common types of anxiety, but there are more out there. It’s good to be aware of anyone you know that has anxiety, since even though it might look like their fine or dont need help, sometimes they do. - - - - If anyone ever needs to talk to me about any of your anxieties, i will try my hardest to be there for you Much love Hoodie <3
