the reason why pepper is aquaphobic is because after like a day or 2 away from the kingdom she just fell into a rushing river and she just washed up on some nearby rock in the middle of the river and had to just live there for a few days to dry their wings off. And that's also when they learned the world is a harsh place and you should always try to have a friend by your side to save you when you need it most.
