i came up with a story idea where, during the world war in the early 2000s, and due to a horrible disease,the ocean loses all food sources and a widespread population of siren are starving to death. they cant live on land and some even resort to becoming cannibals just to survive.
and then someone finds out about this and tries their best to keep them alive, even though they cant take the sirens to a safer place.
