Story that I threw together: She was playing an innocent game of tag when she was a kid, but when she stumbled on a gravesite. The spirits resting there don't like being disturbed so they forcefully took control over her body as revenge for disturbing their slumber, but they let her witness what they are making her do even though she has no control over it.
