Site suggestion: disable comments?

So I feel like this would be useful for the (few) following things: -people who just want to rant/vent/talk about something and not have to deal w/ unwanted/unnecessary comments from other users - a way to avoid causing drama all together - it's an old post/repost - an art request post that's closed (I'm sure there are more examples that I currently can't think of right now lol) Also the format I had in mind is that the author of the post can still see the comments, and only moderators and Clayton can comment on it depending on the content.
