Important Site Announcement!
My fellow Drawnicans… When I started drawn, it was just a proof-of-concept to see if I could actually build a site like this. I wasn’t expecting more than a couple of people playing with it and certainly wasn’t expecting that in the 4 months since I opened up beta registration I’d have over 500 users and over 16,000 animations! Because of this, I wasn’t expecting the load this amount of usage would have on my shared hosting account. I knew what was coming and it has finally happened: my host has started to complain. My goal was to move Drawn to a dedicated virtual server anyway, but the increased usage of the site has forced me to do so sooner than expected. Thankfully, a rather generous benefactor who believes in Drawn has provided me with the resources to cover hosting fees for a little while. Thus Drawn will be migrated to a new server sometime today. During the migration I will have to take Drawn OFFLINE for an hour or so (so that you can't add new data to the old server while I'm migrating it to the new server). I will give you a warning message on the site so that you can save any work and get out of the editor before I turn everything off. You should not lose anything as a result of the migration. And the site should run faster and without those annoying "maximum process count" error messages. If you have any questions, please let me know. #updates #migration #drawn
