"Well?" Asked Lucas, as he lounged in the window. Ace pulled himself into the window next to his brother. "They caught a monster, and they're going to offer her in exchange for a royal monster." Ace explains. Lucas rolls his eyes. "Do you think it'll work?" He asks. "You never know with these things." Ace replies, zoning out. They talk late into the afternoon, until the sky turns purple and pink outside of the windows they sit in. The castle bell tolls suddenly, and the boys are shocked out of their seats. Voices echo down the hallways. "The knights have returned! And a monster is with them!" The two boys race down the stairs, skipping two at a time around the swirling drop. They reached the throne room as the front gates opened, and the group walked in. There was blood. One of the knights had been stabbed in the chest. Twice. The other was holding a chain, wrapped around the neck of the monster prince. Lucas froze at the princes glare. The human queen, Ace and Lucas's mother, approached the beast. "How sad, the ferocious prince in chains." The boy growled, but held back the urge to speak. "Bring him to our guest room!" The queen declared. The one knight left pulled the prince into the hall, and up the stairs. "Ace, Lucas, go back upstairs." Says king Fusion. The boys nod and walk up the stairs. When they reach their shared room, they shut the door and fall into bed. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Ace speaks. "You should go see him" Lucas looks at him, shocked. Ace winks, and Lucas flushes. Vote! Should Lucas go to sleep, or go see the monster prince?
