haunting reality (poem).

Falling apart, ever so very slowly at the frail seams. Countries are no longer one nation but groups of screams, echoes Are all you can hear now, remnants of peace that was never there. Smell the fire that burns with harsh chemicals, from all the riots. Look, behold, then go whence you came, leave while you may have a chance. Then, wake up, and realize humans has always been such. It was just quieter then, more controlled, now take it all in. The spheroid we call home is crumbling due to us, our presence. Look, detect the death and destruction major cities do there. See how monstrous greed, the need for more is to our giving hand. Spy, lean in close, and look how they hurt themselves, and each other, For no benefit, other than the ability to own. Something needs to unite the flock once more, for us to survive. Open your wings, and be one to take up and join the new age.
