its one of those books where,, you can go back and reread everything and its just as thrilling as the first time youve read it
like,, for example
theres a scene where cain and a priest are having a conversation, cains trying to get certain documents from the basement but the priest is staying faithful to his church, even when faced with a huge supernatural creature that can kill him in an instant without a breath of effort
this leads to the priest getting all the blood sucked from his,, fuckign body
bc cain needs human blood to survive
its just very fucked up and nice to read
but basically, cain is a super weapon made by the military. hes a modified human that can kill anything in his path, and the man he once was no longer lives in his body
u learn later on what exactly possessed cain but
yeah hes like a real life machoke and could fucking flick you into oblivion its a great book and i love it so fucking much
