The echoing screams, the resounding clash of metal tools, the all too familiar sound of metal manacles clanking against stone. Invert was too well acquainted with these noises, as he held himself outside of the door which led into that room. He knew that room well too. ALl of these memories trickled from the dark corners of his mind, coating his thoughts until fear was all that was left. He felt his wolfish form fall over him, twitching his ears and tail before letting them fall again. Humans that had been tested on like him did not go out of control when they were in sixth sense. It was usually the humans around them that lost control, calling them monsters. Calling him a monster. After his village was taken over, and he was brought here and tested on by the cruel people in this kingdom, Invert lost everything. His parents were killed, all of his friends were lost in the experiments. Invert was to only survivor, ever. And nobody even knew. He accidentally transformed one day, causing everyone he ever knew to drive him away. The only place that took im in was the king, offering him shelter and food in return for being a knight for him. After a few years, he learned to control his fear and anger, so he wouldn't transform. But seeing this room, these experiments, it was all coming back to him. The painful memories he had tried to hide were flooding his mind, and his eyes were watering. Time had taken its toll on this basement area, and it had been used for storage by the royal family. Invert had never had to come down here because of that. When he had seen the maids clean it, he knew something was up. Once the enchantress opened the gate, he knew what was going on. His emotions have been a little out of check since then, and keeping the sense away while the other workers were there was proving to be a challenge. A scream from the room beside him cut out his thoughts, and brought him back to the painful reality. He recognized it as Ace, the youngest of the two royal siblings. Invert shuddered, and felt his striped tail traces along the wall in reaction. He pulled his hood over his head, and waited for the screams to stop.
