Butterflies

In this animation I used only the original single wing that @_J_M_ had drawn. I created a grouped drawing of the wing (shift+V after copying), and then pasted into the group again (shift+V) to add two instances of the wing to the group. I then set a y scale of -100% on one of the wing instances to mirror it on the y-axis giving the appearance of a butterfly with wings open. I then expanded that grouped drawing across four frames, rotating the wings to meet together in the second and fourth frames. This gave me a basic wings open/wings closed animation. I then hid the "Wing" and "Butterfly" flap layers because I don't want them to be seen in the final animation. I then copied that grouped drawing from the "Butterfly Flap" layer and created a grouped drawing of it (shift+V) on a new layer (yes, you can create grouped drawings of grouped drawings!), stretching it to 29 frames. I could then translate, scale, and rotate the butterfly while it did the wing flap animation. Repeat for 5 more frames and you've got six butterflies of varying size flitting about the screen, and the only thing actually drawn was the one wing. You can continue this animation to see how I did it. :)
