the Queen and Her Knights
This will be a story of a young girl that is very loosely based off of my tiny bit of knowledge about the Arthurian legends, what I think happens to the non-magical people when magical people have been in hiding for about three decades, a tyrannical empire, and me deciding that there aren't enough books with diversity in terms of gender. It follows the story of Gabby as she is chosen as the next queen when the previous dynasty was killed by the attacking empire. She and her friends have to protect the Sun Kingdom and the capital city of RoundSun, which is one of the places with the most breaks in the dimensional barrier. Can they protect it? * * * * Here's what I need from y'all: -ideas for what Roundsun looks like. Roundsun is one of the places with the most breaks between dimensional and time barriers. They have all sorts of inventions from all sorts of times. they do not have cell phones but they do have plumbing. I do not want the internet to exist yet, but dial phones might. I do want plumbing because plumbing is good. So, how should Roundsun be structured? It has people dropping through rifts all the time, so, there's all sorts of different architecture. ROundsun is an oasis in the dessert, so there aren't many trees but there are quite a few lakes, some of which are magical. -design background characters for me! they can be any culture, any religion, any gender, any sexuality, I don't care. I just don't want to have to come up with them on my own. * * * * this will probably start coming out sometime next week?
