Pls Help!

Okay so, If I'm making an animation w/sound, should I add the sound first and like work along with it, or add it at the end and like guess the timing? Or try and start the song the same time I watch it play while I'm working? Lol, never done one w/music b4 pls help.
Also this is like, my first sh*tpost I feel shame but I really needed to know.
