1830's Women's Fashion

The sequel to the previously published Men's Fashion. This is incredibly vague, but I hope it gives you some idea. Younger girls wore their hair down, for up-do's were considered womanly and for older women, from ages 16-17 and up. It was like a gift, for your mother to say you should wear your hair up. It was usually styled in curls and had ribbons, pearls, flowers etc adorned in it. Dresses were poofy, and no pants were worn. Several layers of undergarments were worn, and it got very hot in the summer or in the kitchen. The black ribbon tied around the neck was a thing to do in the late 1700's to signify you were a lesbian. this is a lore, and people don't know if it is true, but it shall be used in the Diary of Jeremy Baker. rogue and painted lips were becoming popular and women were still told to stay in the kitchens, and were the keepers of the home and children. Many other species do not follow this rule though.
