personal opinion on StevenUniverse

The short version : I dont like it. My Score 3/10 The Long version : Steven universe in my opinion is some of the blandest content that cartoon network has pumped out, heres why. For the first seasons each episode follows the same basic format. 1. Steven with ___ Number of side characters is in ____ place 2. Either A) theres a giant monster of something there or B) it has something to do with one of the obligatory side characters 3. the problem is solved and is not acknowledged ever again. There are a few exceptions waaaay down the line, where the writers presumably forgot or ran out of ideas so started using old ones, leading to bland circles of do this to fix. theres never any stakes due to the fact that Steven has literally never had an issue that's remained unfixed, and for the most part, he just kinda curses by without any reprocutions. half the characters are unnecessary or annoying, with most of them being used a total of once, yet still being mentioned a crap ton after. The consistency of the scaling, and movement of the characters seems off, which has been talked about to high hell elsewhere, so i wont go into detail on that here. The main antagonists just, dont work? they all have the brain capacity of a newborn, and lose everything by the end of their season/s. the pacing is slow, or non existent, spending episodes explaining to the audience something that could be summarized over one episode, which makes the audience feel stupid, like the show is dumbing it down for them. the Postives??? The character design is pretty nice, i like the choice in color scems and in proportions, its a shame they down use them very much. the Concept is fairly interesting, and could've been enjoyable if they just did that. Overall, i dont 'hate' Steven universe ' i just dont find it very appealing to me. -Holy
