Hmm
With probably the last installment of the .mp4 shorts before uploading part 3 of Unstoppable 5. I think it's time for me to sit back and think about this mini series.. I honestly really enjoyed creating these, as they gave me the opportunity to deviate from the normal artstyle of the original series adding meaning and a sense of uniqueness for each short. DEATHREBORN was supposed to be a very choppy and rough animation as to indicate the literal confusion and fever dream that Danny was going through. NANOPOWERDRIVE was me trying to imitate my old animation style for the nostalgia factor and for the fact that the action was taking place in Dartus' own agency as seen in season 1. GATEWAY.MP4 was more colorful and animated then the others because I had to set the setting of an alien world, and that required detail, and I wanted to make sure that it was clear who Shredder was in that short. And for the newest one BIOMEBUSTER.MP4 I went for a dark, military approach, directly inspired by ToadCop, a legend on Toonator. I chose this style because I was trying to depict an unauthorized transmission, a mistake that was not supposed to come out to surface.
Now.. Should I make a remaster of DEATHREBORN? Because it crashes? Or should I try to explore the origins of the lore even further and try to come up with one last short before the behemoth that is part 3?
