Hey loyal readers! Im gonna start posting cute little short stories, along with the regular chapters They will be cute and warm, and will show you what everyone in the story does around these winter months. This little one is Eñe and her best friend, Wren, enjoying a snow day off of school. Enjoy! "Hey! Wait up!" Wren shouted from behind her. Eñe slowed her pace to a jog. She just loved running through the snowy forest. Eñe's mother was a forest sprite, so she was always busy during these months, preparing plants for the cold and such. Her father was more of an unknown species, but he was always cold, and therefore always made little Eñe bundle up before going outside. Christmas was coming, and though it's a human holiday, the monsters used it as a time for family and presents. Even santa claus was a thing, though the children called him Santa Claws, to fit with their species. Eñe was wearing a traditional wool dress, and her favorite cat mittens. When Wren caught up, she was jealous. Wren was made for winter, with her thick fur coat and rough paws that kept out the cold. SHE didn't have to sit on the bench while her dad struggled to to tie her boots. Wren suddenly poked Eñe's shoulder, and ran ahead. "You're it!" She yelled. Eñe jumped. "Hey! Just because you're older doesn't mean you get to do that!" Wren's birthday had happened the week prior, and she had turned 9. That's a year older than Eñe was now. Eñe was faster than Wren though, ad she caught up quickly. "Tag!" Eñe poked Wrens shoulder, and ran ahead, throwing her hand in the air and laughing. "Hey !" Wren shouted. "Get back here!" Eñe giggled, and continued her trek through the beautiful frosted forest.
