where do i start, oc's are such magical things, and yet, they are treated like complete garbage, not only from the outside, but from the inside too. of course, im not that original, but atleast im not " one who's oc's are all black, have the term Death in their name, and have shades of red on the tips of hair, eyes, etc.", its just stupid. honestly, i think most newbies to making oc's suffer from " make SUPER cool and people will like me ", syndrome. your oc doesnt need to be all powerful, some of the best oc's are ones who dont have powers, abilities, etc. color is another thing, as i stated before, newbies tend to come to black or as many colors as humanly possible, its stupid. *NOTE* in SOME oc's its acceptable, its fine to have your villians have a black and white , good vs evil , look. But just dont OVERDO it.* most of my oc's remain a nice green, or orange. which its a decent color. Black CAN be useful, for creating villains, or "edgier" oc's but its important that you have that oc's be the "big bad" or the "cool oc". that way, it doesnt seem off. you want you main oc's to stand out, not gerald the hamster. tools, weapons, powers, etc. SPARE your viewers from having to stand and watch as you continue to draw the chainsaw-mechinegun-flamthrower 45 times. use items sparsely, it makes for more interesting combat, scenes, etc.
