Dean is a Turkish, or Türkish, Anatolian Shepherd (or Kangal) who bites aggressively and has a temper but is normally sweet (secretly). He's the Police Captain of a station in New York. His parents were Turkish, but they gave birth to and raised Dean in Russia which gives him that accent.
