rinter angst moment anyways, the tragic backstory behind rinter is that they were just a slime in a hole until a tiefling named Lindair showed up and took Rinter as a guinea pig of sorts feeding it human/humanoid creature bones meat and blood and over time the dna from the blood and bones gave Rinter intelligence and sentience and the two slowly formed a bond with Lindair acting now as a father figure taking care of Rinter as a son. Of course when the government found out about Lindair's malpractice of killing living sentient human/humanoid beings and using their bones blood and meat for experiments they quickly took action and took Lindair and destroying most of his housein the night. Rinter while sleeping looks like a regular ass puddle so no body noticed them. As soon as Rinter woke up they looked all day for Limdair and not a trace was found. After a couple of weeks of staying at the ruins of Lindairs house, they grabbed the sharpest cooking utensils they could find and took some left over cloth from various bits of it laying around and wrapped themself in it and wandered off from home looking for Lindair and drinking any blood from anybody who encountered them. They of course would make usual visits to the ruins to just sit and ruminate on past memories of being a blob, wishing for Lindair to show up at the ruins one last time. They then got a mysterious letter from a person named "Employer".
