I'm going anon again
Warning- This is political, so if you're tired of this sorta stuff all the time, then I reccomend not reading ahead. But aside from that, I'm not even going to say that this is particularly offensive- because I'm just expressing my frustration with news outlets at this moment in time. So today, Trump made a video discussing the Covid relief bill, and why, in it's current state, he is going to refuse to sign it, unless some changes are made. The news covered this as if he was just gunna stop the bill from getting passed period. That he wasn't going to sign it at all, and did what news outlets do best, and made Trump look bad. Now, trump makes himself look bad, but this is an instance where this just wasn't the case. The issue with the bill, which he pointed out, was that most of the money, was going to everything but a covid relief stimulus check. Most of it was going towards aiding foreign countries, money for military projects in foreign countries, the border wall, and a slew of things I couldn't name off the top of my head- while only giving $600 dollars to legal US Citizens (who qualified) for the stimulus check. The reason Trump wasn't going to sign the bill, was because he wanted the amount of money given to US citizens to be raised to $2000 or atleast $4000 for couples, and to remove the unnecessary things that would be funded by this bill- which yes- included the border wall. For once in his presidency, I can solidly say he was putting the People of the United States first, and news outlets still tried to frame him to be the bad guy. anywhoo, that's all, I hope you have a good today and tomorrow. also, Marry christmas.
