My First Club Day This Year

So every year in my school we have a club to choose from and I chose creative writing with my good friend, @Keda_Grey (go look at her account or i will steal all ur robux lol)and I read my story in front of everyone on accident bcs i didnt finish and stuff so yea why not show it to more ppl ;w;. So here's the story from word to word: Pearl (What’s in a Name Assignment) *This also is a completely different story just about my name. I’ve never really thought of how my name was created. I just thought of it as an American name, because, after all, my parents just chose it from a baby book and that was it. Nothing. I never knew anything about my name. Until one day. I was sitting in the living room, sorting out how to sort the couch pillow in my brand new house when my mom called me from the kitchen to put the boxes of my old toys from when I was just a baby. We do this every time we move from place to place. It’s always the same routine, and I’m always the one to walk up into the attic and place all the dead items there. “Fine, but can’t John just go do it this time?” I yelled back to my mom. John is my older brother, and is thankfully one of the reasonable kinds. You know, the ones who help you with your homework, understand your issues, and like to help when they can. I would’ve guessed that he would’ve helped me, but then John just straight up told me no. “You can do it yourself this time. Besides, I have exams to worry about.” This is true. Ever since he started 12th grade it’s been his job to work as hard as he can to get into a good collage. Yet, even though I respect that, I’m always the one who annoys and bribes him into helping. I just backed out after that as John walked back to his room to study. He was finished decorating his room, anyways. I then sighed and obediently walked into the kitchen to grab the basement boxes left for me. I found Mom carefully looking through each kitchen item to decide where to place her stuff. Our family calls her the Kitchen Queen after being a chef for 5 years of her life. Yet, as I grabbed the boxes and walked up the stairs, I had no idea what was about to happen. . . . Our new house is made so we don’t have to, thankfully, pull down those ladders to pull down and climb up on. Instead, it’s made mostly for a used room, considering the fluff on the ground, which was the same material as the living room downstairs. Something didn’t seem right, though. Something off. I quickly realize that in the corner of the room was a shining little pearl, the size of a quarter, at least. Kneeling down to grab the pearl, I had the chance to glimpse at it until there was a shining light that surrounded me.
