When you remove nighteye's candy eye you can see outer space, aka the {{void}}. If you stare long enough you can see yourself in it, and see some planets that I(nighteye in this case) made up/thought of. If you stay too long you'll forget the real world and only stay there, and you'll forget how to leave. While you're in the subspace your body in the real world becomes a husk, no longer living or breathing once youre unable to leave.
So basically: spooky eye traps u mentally
