Mariko's backstory

I can't do it rn coz I'm poor, but with your guy's help, I could do it. Anyways, here is her backstory: When Mariko was little, her father always told her to never show her emotions, or she will appear weak. Just to be clear, he's never said this directly, but he's strongly hinted it. Around the age of seven, Mariko and her mom were doing errands around town. anyways, they were about to cross the street. about half way across the street, a drunk driver came speedily down the road, not paying attention. there wasn't enough time to get out of the way. Her mother pushed her out of the way. she watched her own mother die in front of her. her father got really depressed and basically neglected Mariko, making her trust in people real thin. This was her new normal for two years, until her father found love again. He met a woman and they got married. she became mariko's new step-mom. her step-mom considered mariko her daughter, and they had a pretty close relationship, even her father seemed to get a little better and was paying a little more attention to Mariko. this happiness was temporary however, because her step-mom died of cancer a year later. mariko is only ten, but a lot of death has happened. at this point, her father got so sad, he put mariko up for adoption. she has a lot of foster parents over the years, but none of them really kept her for long. eventually, just before she was accepted into hope's peak, she found some foster parents willing to keep her. anyways. that's a lot and I hope you help me on my journey to 1000 koin
